Sales Manager Role

About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Sales Manager to lead our high-performing leisure and cruise sales team. The ideal candidate is a proven top sales performer with strong leadership experience, deep account management skills, and the ability to inspire, train, and elevate others.

This role is responsible for ensuring the company’s sales strategy is executed flawlessly—meeting and exceeding targets, improving team performance, and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and customer experience. The Sales Manager will also play a key role in staff development, training, lead quality assurance, and identifying opportunities to grow revenue and efficiency.


This position has a direct path to Sales Director and VP of Sales for candidates who excel.


Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Performance Management

  • Lead and manage the entire Sales Agent team, including new hire onboarding and training.
  • Serve as the top sales example—consistently demonstrating elite performance and adherence to company standards.
  • Monitor staff scheduling, attendance, and compliance using company software.
  • Conduct weekly Monday meetings highlighting top performers and monthly sales kickoffs.
  • Track and announce Agent of the Month winners and weekly bonus winners; report results to Administration.

Sales Quality & Productivity

  • Ensure agents work leads correctly and consistently follow the approved workflow (Lead Quality Assurance).
  • Monitor sales calls to ensure agents meet or exceed sales quality standards (Sales Quality Assurance).
  • Approve offers for newer agents based on profitability and policy.
  • Provide real-time coaching, feedback, and support to help agents close more sales.


Training & Development

  • Deliver ongoing training on insurance, follow-up strategies, closing techniques, and product knowledge.
  • Keep the team updated on promotions, supplier changes, and new cruise line incentives.
  • Maintain documentation, reports, and performance data to guide decision-making.


Sales Strategy & Growth

  • Monitor profitability and sales performance by cruise line.
  • Review and communicate current promotions regularly.
  • Develop initiatives to boost sales performance, customer satisfaction, team retention, and overall morale.
  • Prepare and present proposals and performance presentations as needed.


Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership with the ability to hold others accountable
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
  • High-level interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset
  • Ability to take responsibility for organizational and personal results
  • Proven coaching and team-teaching skills


Qualifications

  • 100% fluent in English (spoken and written) – non-negotiable
  • Experience working with U.S. customers
  • Minimum 2 years of demonstrated success in sales leadership roles
  • Strong financial and business acumen
  • Experience in travel sales preferred (cruise sales is a plus)
  • Passport and U.S. Visa (for potential free incentive travel)
  • Must currently live in Lima, Peru and be within reasonable distance of Miraflores


Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: S/.5,000 – S/.12,000+ per month
  • Overrides: 1.5% of supervised agents’ net commissions
    • (This often equals double the base salary and may reach 3x base salary)
  • Compensation includes base salary, commissions, bonuses, and overrides
  • Full-time, on-site position in Miraflores
  • Potential for company-sponsored travel and free cruise incentives
